    What is a stage plot?

A stage plot is a simple top-down diagram showing where each musician stands on stage and what equipment they need, sent to a venue before a show so the sound engineer can set the room up in advance.

A stage plot does not need to be pretty. It needs to show positions, instruments, and which players need monitors, DIs, or power. It is usually paired with an input list.

Most engineers would rather have a hand-drawn plot that is accurate than a polished one from two lineups ago.
