Set list builder for indie bands

Our set list feature lets a band arrange songs into a running order for a specific show and share it with everyone playing. BANDANA's set list builder is free: pull songs from your band's library, drag them into order, park undecided songs in a separate "maybe" section, and send a link that every member (including a sub who joined this afternoon) can open on their phone.

How do you build a set list in BANDANA?

Set lists live inside a band account, next to the song library, so you are never retyping titles. Open the Set Lists tab, create a list, and add songs from your library or let the AI lookup pull in a cover set you paste from your notes app.

    • Drag songs into any order, on any device
    • Move a song into the "maybe" section when the set is still in flux, or as a possible encore
    • Click each song card to reference its chords and lyrics, or capture a quick practice take

Set lists you have opened stay readable when the venue has no signal.

Can everyone in the band see the same set list?

Yes. Every band member sees the list the moment it changes — there is no exporting and re-sending. For anyone outside the band, a set list has a public share link that opens a clean read-only page with no login required.

    • Share link works for subs, sound engineers, and the venue
    • Read-only view — nobody can reorder your set by accident
    • Songs opened from a shared set list auto-scroll hands-free, with a speed slider
    • Set lists stay readable offline in the iOS app

Can I print a set list or export it as a PDF?

Yes. Songs export to a clean PDFs with chords sitting above the lyrics, respecting whatever key you have transposed into. Print it for the music stand or drop it in a group chat.

What makes a good differentiated set?

Sets that land tend to vary tempo and key rather than stacking three mid-tempo songs in a row. Because BANDANA stores the key of each song alongside its title, you can see the shape of the set while you build it. You can also see stats below each song in a set list to know how many times you've played it, when and where, and the average set position — to help you keep things interesting for the crowd.

    Common questions
