Which Texas cities are covered?
Every Texas city with a listed room, including Austin, Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth. Any venue listed in Texas automatically appears on this page as soon as it's published.
How is this different from a general list of Texas venues?
Most venue lists stop at a name, an address and maybe a genre tag. Every listing here shows room capacity and the nights the venue currently has open, and links straight to a booking form — so you can request a date instead of hunting for the right email address.
What does each listing include?
The venue's city, room capacity, a short description, a shot of its homepage, a link to its own website, a live count of open dates in your chosen window, and a "Request a date" link to its BANDANA booking form. Direct booking contact details are visible to signed-in BANDANA users only.
How current are the open dates shown here?
Open dates are usually set and kept current by BANDANA, based on the booking nights each venue publishes on its own site, and re-checked on a weekly pass. A venue that claims its BANDANA listing can edit its own open dates, close nights and add shows at any time.
Can I filter this page by date?
Yes. This page is already scoped to the region, and the date filter lets you set a range or pick specific nights. The default window is the next 60 days and it can be widened up to six months out. For state, city and capacity filters, use the full directory at /book-a-venue.
Do I need an account to browse?
No. Listings, capacities and open-date counts are public. A free BANDANA account is needed to see a venue's direct contact details, and a request only reaches the venue once the sender is signed in — submit while signed out and you'll confirm it by clicking the link BANDANA emails you.
Is it free for bands to request a date?
Yes. Browsing and sending a date request through a venue's BANDANA booking form is free, with no card and no trial period. BANDANA takes no commission on shows booked this way.
What happens after I send a request?
It goes straight into that venue's BANDANA booking inbox, tied to the date you picked, and the venue replies to you directly. BANDANA isn't a booking agent and can't promise a yes. You can send one request per venue per week, so follow up by replying to your BANDANA booking notification.
How does a venue get listed?
Two ways, both free. BANDANA builds listings from publicly available information and the operator can claim theirs to take over the details, calendar and booking form. Or a venue signs up directly and creates its own listing. Either way BANDANA reviews a listing before it's published, and it appears on the matching regional pages automatically.
Does BANDANA cover other regions?
Yes. There are regional pages for NYC, the Tri-State area, New England, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, the Midwest, the West Coast, the Southeast, Texas and the Southwest, and the full directory at /book-a-venue lists indie rooms in markets across the US.
Free to start. No card, no trial clock.
